Acara ini disebut juga &#8220;Apitan&#8221; karena pas jatuh pada bulan Apit (dalam bulan Jawa) yang dalam bulan Hijriyah adalah bulan Dzulqoidah.<br \/>\nDalam acara istighotsah yang dihadiri oleh para kyai, ulama, sesepuh dan warga Desa Grogol telah hadir pula Camat Karangtengah Sofiyan, dilaksanakan hari Selasa pagi(30\/7).<br \/>\nSetelah acara istighotsah selesai, siangnya sekitar pukul 13.00 WIB dilanjutkan dengan kirab budaya dengan keliling desa Grogol.  Peserta sebagian ada yang naik kereta kuda yang disediakan oleh panitia, termasuk juga Camat Karangtengah Sofiyan, sebagian ada yang naik kereta mini dan juga ada yang jalan kaki, yang semuanya didandani dan hias dengan meriah.<br \/>\nPada malam harinya, Apitan di Desa Grogol kali ini menyelenggara pagelaran Wayang Kulit semalam suntuk dengan mengambil dalang dari Desa Kadilangu Demak.<br
